COVID-19: Library Resource Updates: Home
To provide our users with updates concerning our services and online resources available during this time.
We are open. In order to comply with the government directives and social distancing requirements, and to ensure the health and safety of users and staff, a number of general changes need to be made. All persons are expected to follow the rules until further notice.
Researching from home? Our librarians are working remotely and can help you with your research needs! Use the LibChat located on this page or text us at 819-201-0354 to chat with a librarian during our Research Assistance hours.
Returning Borrowed Materials
We have transitioned into a new library system in July and all outstanding books were renewed until September 21, 2020.
If you are not a returning student after the date of September 21st, you must return these items or charges will begin.
If you are returning to campus, you may return them to the exterior book return. If you are outside the Sherbrooke area, you can mail your books to us at:
Library Learning Commons
2600 College St
Sherbrooke, QC Canada
If you are a returning student and need them for longer than September 21st, these items can be renewed for a later return date. You can even renew your items yourself by logging into your account in Sofia.
Interlibrary loan service for books in print is now again available. You can also request digital materials.
You can now request items held in any of the 17 other university libraries in Québec directly from Sofia, our new Discovery tool.
When you refine your search results with the “Bibliothèques universitaires du Québec” facet on the left-hand part of the screen, you will see your results expand. Interested in a title? By clicking the button “Request via Interlibrary Loan” and logging in with the barcode number from your student card or library card, Sofia will auto-fill the form for you.
