Pick up service for library books


Bishop’s University and Champlain Regional College-Lennoxville communities are able to borrow print books from the Library Learning Commons’ collections. This service is only available for physical materials located at Bishop’s University at this time.
Procedures to allow access to physical documentation by members of the university/college community are put in place to respect the health and safety of both staff and users of the Library Learning Commons.
Who: Faculty, researchers, students and staff of Bishop’s and Champlain with an active library record
  • Books and DVDs from the circulating collections.
  • Items from the reserve or reference collections, or from print journals are considered on a case-by-case basis. Digitization, with respect to copyright law, might be possible.
  • Materials located in off-site storage are not available until further notice.
  • As soon as we are able to process your request, you will get an email saying your pick up is ready.

Pick-up Service Instructions

STEP 1: Search for the document(s) in the Library’s catalogue at
STEP 2: Mark the item(s) of interest by clicking the “Save” button



STEP 3: Open “My Items” saved and click on the “Email” button.   




STEP 4: Email the list to Put your name in the message field, exactly as it appears on your BU or CRC ID card, you must include your email as well so we can contact you.





STEP 5: When done, click on the “Share List” button.
  • The Library staff will retrieve the items and prepare a packet for you.
  • You will be notified when your items will be available for pick up.
  • Materials are given upon presentation of the user's Bishop’s University identity card or Champlain Regional College identity card.
Some additional considerations
  • If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are sick, please do not pick up (or return) items.
  • A user can pick up more than one packet per visit.
  • Only the user can only pick up their own packets – no proxy pick up
  • No on-site loan transaction other than that mentioned in the email request is possible. No on-site request is accepted.
  • All returns are to put in the LLC external book return.
  • Contact us if you need items from the Reference collections or an article in a journal in print
