DVD players for NTSC, Blu-Ray and PAL (foreign films) are available in Library basement.
The best way to find German language films is to browse the DVD collection in the basement. They are shelved together and identified with a blue "GER" label on their containers. Feature films can be found under the call number PN 1997, sub-arranged alphabetically by original film title (PN 1997.2 are 21st century films). Most other call numbers are documentaries.
Finding German-language film titles in the BU catalogue:
If you know the name of a film, use Sofia's Advanced Search option. From there, you can:
1. Search for the film title by selecting "Title" as a search index.
2. Select DVD video as the Format type. Then conduct your search.
3. Once you come to the results page, you can select German under the Language from the limiters on the left-head menu.
"Germany" and "DVD" will list all the DVD videos associated with Germany.
For feature films ("the movies"), use search terms "feature films"; for documentaries use search terms "documentary films".
