Champlain Resource Guide: Study Rooms

This guide is to help Champlain students and faculty access and use the resources available to them at the Bishop's Library Learning Commons (LLC) and other off-campus institutions.

Study Rooms

The Library Learning Commons has 9 small study rooms and 5 large study rooms. These spaces are designed for group work and study.

  • The LLC has 9 small study rooms.
  • Each room is is equipped with a computer and a large wall-mounted TV monitor.
  • The LLC has 5 large study rooms.
  • All but Study Room 237 are equipped with a computer and large wall-mounted TV monitor. 
Please note:
  • Bookable study rooms can be found on the second floor and basement floor.
  • Bookings are limited to a maximum of 3 hours per day, per group.
  • Time slots may be reserved 4 weeks in advance.
  • Champlain students, faculty and staff are welcome to book study rooms.
  • For any exceptions or special requests, please speak with someone at the Library Services Desk. 
  • Study rooms are not soundproof. We encourage group study and collaboration, but please be mindful that loud conversations, music, videos etc., can be heard outside of the rooms.
  • Champlain students cannot log on to the computers connected to the TV monitors, but are able to plug in their own personal laptops to use the screens in Study Rooms 020, 021, 204-234, 239.  For assistance with using the screens please see the ITS help desk located on the main floor of the LLC (beside the Library Service Desk).

Anyone found to be abusing the system or using it unfairly may have their bookings cancelled, and repeat offenders may be banned from using the booking system.
